The Alpenglow Stube is considered one of the top places to eat in the entire ski industry. Part of the appeal might just be how the whole experience starts. You will ride a gondola up to the secluded peak at nearly 12,000 feet. Once there, you can enjoy the award-winning culinary designs of the chefs at Alpenglow. The cuisine is definitely modern, but with a distinct Bavarian accent. You can order individual entrees or build a four course meal for a signature visit. The Keystone Resort's Sleighride Dinner is a fun option with great food at the end. Ride a horse drawn sleigh across the snow to an authentic old homestead. Once there, you'll experience family-friendly entertainment and a delicious dinner. The sleigh ride is about 20 to 30 minutes behind a team of Belgian or Percheron horses, while you'll be snuggled in warm wool blankets. Fresh beef barley soup and homemade biscuits await you upon arrival. Then you'll head into dinner with the option of steak, chicken, salmon or a vegetarian option, along with some delectable sides. Dessert is apple pie and fresh vanilla ice cream.
Another Breckenridge upscale restaurant option is Der Fondue Chessel. This restaurant is atop Keystone's North Peak and serves Bavarian cuisine with a fondue theme. You'll travel up to the restaurant via gondola, then start your dinner with a classic Caesar salad while waiting for your traditional Swiss cheese fondue to bubble. Everyone gets to be the cook with the Raclette grills and then you won't want to miss the chocolate fondue at the end.
